Well, it's been a while! Had alot happening, and didn't feel like sharing it on here.

We've had the dreaded strangles go through margaret's horses. It's been nasty, but we haven't lost any of the horses, so I guess that's a good thing! They're getting their second jab on thursday.

I'm going to auckland to look after a freinds house for a while in a week. Exciting but nerve wreaking too! I'm not sure how long I'll be up there, but I'll have a nosy for jobs and see what the market is like up there, and ya never know...

It was me and Dave's two year anniversary yesterday! *woo*

I bought a wee external hard drive and it arrived yesterday. It now has all (1.3GB) of my photos on it, plus stuff I want to take with me to auck.

But my favorite news is what Dave got me as a pressie yesterday;

Yep, a tattoo! I've wanted one for years. I haven't know what I've wanted or where, but I've known I wanted one. Dave knew too, and so he got me this for our anniversary! Isn't he awesome!!!!!

Because I've wanted one for ages, I've looked at different ideas online. When I saw a design I liked, I saved it. Every now and again I'd go through my stash of tattoo designs, any that didn't grab me as awesome, I deleted. I figured if I was gonna get a tattoo, it had to be something I really liked, and still really liked 3 years later! Ok, so I didn't have the pics for three years, but I have had some for over a year. The dragon is one I've had for at least 6 months, and he's one of the few that I have kept. The others I still liked, but I didn't really like them, so I got rid of them.

I am in love with this tattoo! He's my first, but I doubt he'll be my last, he's *awesome*!! I can't get enough of him, and keep looking at him! hehe. I only got him yesterday, so he's still touchy and red and tender (feels a bit like sun burn...) He looks *great* when I give him a wash and he's all clean and clear. His wing is still oozing blood a little, but not as much as yesterday. He gets a bit more messy through the day, I put moisturiser on him and stuff, but he looks amazing when clean and washed. Can't wait for him to heal, but I'll look after him until he has! hehe. *bounces*

Woo! I found my calender and put it up today!
lol. Simple pleasures.

Even better though, I put up some of my ribbons the other day! only 44 of them, but it's a start! I had been trying all sorts of ways to put them up, but nothing was working how I wanted it to. Mum came up with an idea, and it's working brilliently!! I love it, it looks GREAT!

Now just to get the other 123 of them up...

Annnnnnnyway. Me and CJ have been walking the boys every day except in the weekend (she walked Gollum, but I wasn't around to walk Ed) We went for a walk up a track in the bush, it's bloody steep going up, but is brillient fun to run down again!!! It's a good 40-50 min walk too, so it's good for all of us!

It was mothers day last sunday. I only got mum some chocolate and snifters (mmmmmmmmm, snifters.....) The kids think I didn't get her anything though, cos I didn't give it to her in bed in the morning when they gave her theirs! I just didn't want the kids to steal half her choccy and lollies, so gave it to her when she got up and left the kids in bed :p

I'm touch typing now. I've been able to do it fairly well for ages, but I'm in the habit of looking at the keyboard anyway. I hardly look at the keyboard, but I do look. I'm a pretty quick typer (or I'd get awfully bored with all this typing I do!) when I look at the keyboard, but I always end up with stupid typos like thsia dn liek thsi. hehehe! My fingers just get ahead of myself sometimes, so I'm gonna try to touch type so that I can look at the screen and see any mistakes I make as I make them, and so be able to fix them! wow, this is fun! hehehe.

Ok, no plans for today. I might go have breakfast and take Fleck with me. Got a doctors appointment tomorrow. Will walk the boys today, and probably tomorrow. Going to have fish and chips and donalds with dad tomorrow too, dunno if i'll stay with dad or not tho. I should at least go see him on saturday, cos I haven't seen much of him in a while!!!

I'm so chuffed about my ribbons still, just wait until I get all 163 up!!!!

It's been good. Me and CJ have bee taking Ed and Gollum out for a walk and run every day. It's great having someone else to go out with too!!!
Me and Ed were playing around in the paddock the other day, I didn't have any food for bribes, nor did he have his halter on, but I got him standing his front feet ontop of a log like a circus horse, and got a cute pic of him 'smiling' while there:

hehe. He's FAT and hairy, so our daily walks are good, even if they're only for 10 mins!

I'm going to head out to Margarets soon, the blacksmith is coming to do everyone's feet this morning, and I haven't been out there in ages so it'll be great! Jaimee is going there too and wants to go for a drive with crackers, so hopefully Kirsten will come too and we'll all go out!

Fleck is moulting pretty bad, and so is really snuggly. She demands I pat and scritch her constantly, so yesterday I decided to sit there and time just how long she'd demand it for. 45 mins later........!!!!!!!!!!!! Whew, my arm was starting to go numb! hehe.

Hmm, it's getting to be winter all right! Frosts in the morning, clear skys and brilliently sunny days, but the temp isn't getting much over 10 degrees.... brrr

There was an earthquake yesterday morning, it was on the other side of the country, but we were fairly swinging over here! it as at 3:40am though, so not many people felt it. It woke me though!

I went to see Ed yesterday, but ended up only giving him a brush and going again. I might go take him for a walk today though... As long as my hands don't freeze up typing first!

A florecent light down in the basement randomly fell out the other day. No one was down there, we just heard it from the house and went to look. the floor is concrete, the bulb is over a metre long and very fine glass. it shattered EVERYWHERE! omg it was a mess! We swept the worst of it up, and I vacumed the whole place today. I know I'll have missed some, I just hope it doesn't end up in anyones feet!

I still haven't gotten a stamp to send that application form away. Haven't found anything else yet either. Stupid job hunting! I am going to be looking after someones farm later in the month. I'm also getting some money for these felted animals. WINZ doesn't like those though, they're not a proper job. *sigh*

And so I carry on.....

Sunday, May 01, 2005

I'm addicted to needle felting. I've been 'commisioned' 4 animals from a freind (i'm getting payed for it)! hehe. Got the elephant nearly done for them. Made a dog for dad yesterday.

Went out and met Joc and Pete today. They're going to auckland at the end of the month, and so they need someone to look after their house and animals for them. So I'm going to (again, I'm getting payed for it)! :D

so I'm happy, any extra money I can get my hands on it great!!!

Tomorrow the water filter guy is coming to put a water filter in. The town water is incredibly horrible, so it'll be good to have the filter in!!

Tomorrow I also need to spend quite some time online, I've got to do some on my site, but first need to switch over and sort stuff for horseland (a SIM game). Other than that I need to go see Ed tomorrow afternoon sometime. I need to get money for on my cell cos it's run out. and I need to fill in the application form for the job plus see what other jobs there are. Hmm, lte see how much of that gets shunted into tuesday!

Went to see Margaret today too, but there was no one home.....

Went to see Ed, and Gollum's owners were there. Gollum is a Timor pony, not a shetland like I've been saying!! She has a wee boy who is small enough to ride him. They have a gorgeous wee saddle for him! I long reined Ed around the paddock, weaving through everything we could find! hehe. I need to see what I can do to that cart too...

I'm tired. Night!

Ok, it's entierly done and sorted and hopefully no more worried about it at all!!!!

Ed is very happy there, I can see him and Gollum (the shetland) becoming tight freinds, Oscar the donkey will make them the three musketeers! lol!! A grey donkey, bay shetland, and white (or supposed to be) mini, all of a similar size, they look neat out there!!

When we picked up Ed form Johannas, she wasn't there but Neil was. Loaded him up fine, went back to ask where his cover was, found it (on the ground outside soaking wet and smelling horrible *sigh*) then said to neil on the way back pst the houe that I'd come clean up the last of Ed's poo either that afternoon, or the next day at the latest...

Took him to his new home, let him go and he took off to scope out the new paddock. Gollum and Oscar wanted him to tlak to the, but he ignored them and walked around, they were hard on his heels and trying to stop him! lol! I set up the automatic payment for Rachel straight away so neither of us have to worry about it, she'll always get payed.

Got Benji to come up last night and have a look at the cart with me, the tires are a bit haddit, and one wheel needs looked at, but the whole things is pretty solid otherwise! It's awfully heavy, but once it's running it'll be good enough to play with before the SW cart arrives!

We went out yesterday afternoon, and didn't get back until tea time, when I took Ben up to see the cart, so I didn't get the time to go clean up Ed's poo at Johannas, so I planned to do it today, as I had told Neil. Got a message on the answer phone last night from Johanna asking when I'd come and clean up Ed's poo........ *sigh* I went and cleaned it up today as promised anyway. I was incredibly thorough, and didn't leave any behind, I'm sure. I don't want any problems!! I also pulled down the wee fence we had at first, made of my electric fence standards, gave back her one we'd also used, and the tape (propped them up by the main gate anyway; she'd left by then) and took my 10 that I'd bought. I sure hope she doesn't take that badly, they were always mine!

But anyway, it's all done now!! No more worries! :D :D I might just mention to Rachel though that if a Rebbecca turns up, then she's not allowed to know where Ed's halter is. She can pat and cuddle in the paddock, but no halter... Just in case!

I'm going to go see him tonight before heading 3 houses down the road (form where Ed is) to Donalds with dad for fish and chips! hehe.

I went to see Rachel yesterday, but she had gotten called out and wasn't there! Was probably good to wait another day, I was pretty stressed and worked up!

Went and saw her today though, and looks great! She has a Donkey and a shetland there for company for him (no more him being alone!) and it's a nice wee paddock next to her gallery, so people are coming and going and he'll get lots of attention from them! She's going to charge me $7 a week, which is fine by me because I spend over $10 a week going up to see him where he is now only 3 times a week! Now I'll be able to afford to see him every day because he's only half a minute up the road!!!!

But, the best bit is when I mentioned I have harness and am chasing up a cart, and she said she has an old cart she got for her old shetland but never used, it's in need of a bit of TLC, but it should be quite fixable, and I'll have a cart to use on Ed! She has a harness, but I didn't look at that, so not sure what it's like. I do have Ed's webbing harness anyway. She's happy for it to be used! My brother is a welder, so can do any work like that that might need done. The wood is pretty weathered, but might be ok until I can replace it. It might be a bit big for him, but it'll be better than nothing!!

I went to clean up Ed's paddock today, Johanna and Neil were out riding, so didn't see them. Came hom and left a message on their answer phone, and not long ago she rang back. We're all happy, it was a misunderstanding really, she had expcted me to clean her horses poo because mine was already done, as a sorta payment to them for having Ed, she probably still feels bad towards me that I didn't, but I could feel bad to her for expecting that from me when she never said it any other time. If she'd said first up that I could help out a bit for having Ed there I wouldn't think twice about it. Anyway, it's been and gone and done now, and Ed is going to Rachel's tomorrow morning!! :D :D :D And it means Rebbecca won't be pushing me to take over Ed...

I've seriously getting addicted to needle felting!!! I've made 2 teddies and a lion in three days...

I'm seriously in love with my lion! He has the most gorgeous face!!!!

I'm quite pleased with how his body worked out, it took some shaping to get it how I wanted, and I still didn't know if it'd be right....

George is staying the night here. Mum is picking up fish and chips for us all now, so I'm going to go sort stuff so we can eat it asap!!!
